Alyssa and Alex were such rockstars throughout the entire day, I need to start off with that right out front. I knew from working with them during their engagement session that they were a laid-back, sweet couple, but this was by far the hottest wedding day I have ever worked. My temperature in my car read 107. It was for real hot. For some people that would be a nightmare, but these two stayed calm and chill the whole time. When you have a Michigan summer wedding, you know the weather can be anything… and that day, it didn’t matter. Alyssa was a gorgeous bride, and Alex couldn’t stop grinning whenever he looked her way – nothing was going to stop those smiles. Here’s some favorites from the day…
Watching them laugh and twirl together in the Dequindre Cut, while we all tried not to melt… nothing was going to make their day any less than perfect. These two were just so excited to see each other, tie the knot, and dance the night away with their friends and family.
The Packard Proving Grounds are one of my favorite venues to work with, they have so many pretty spots to take portraits, both outside and in! This wedding party was a riot, they kept everyone laughing the whole day.
And WOW, this is a family of dancers! DJ Derek Hall from The Block Party knows how to keep a dance floor full, and this crowd took full advantage. An amazing night to top off a beautiful wedding day, this is one for the record books! So. Much. Fun.
A little bit of creative DIY from the bride led to these awesome whiskey barrel tables – perfect for some sunset games!
